I love being on a stage and have had the opportunity to play a diverse range of characters and I’ve loved them all. The latest part I played was Wednesday Addams where I had to be serious, solemn and torn between the darkness of her upbringing and family life and a newfound ‘normal’ love.
Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act was a brilliant part to play and very different from Wednesday. Bubbly, lively, very excitable and always chipper, I loved playing her (apart from the extra padding required that made it very warm on stage!)
I’ve also played Eliza in the classic King and I. This part required a 12-minute long ballet and a lot of hopping! My partner and I worked hard on the storytelling aspect of this role as well as the synchronicity of our characters.
My first senior role was as Rumpleteazer in Cats. My gymnastic skills came in very handy for this role and I loved performing alongside Mungojerry in a very energetic, action-packed routine while singing. It certainly challenged my stamina!
