I am a self-taught pianist and have always enjoyed writing my own songs. During the Covid pandemic, I recorded my first track ‘You Don’t Need Me’ and released it online in March 2021, on my 15th birthday. It was featured on BBC Radio Lancashire Introducing and on a Spotify playlist.
Since then, I have recorded two more songs which have not been released but are available on Soundcloud. I like to experiment with different styles: ‘You Don’t Need Me’ is very melodic and piano focused while I wrote XBstFrnd with a band in mind. I really wanted to do a more dance track and so recorded ‘All Night’ with just me and Matt, the incredible music producer. I also want to give my appreciation to Mr Jack Herbert, my mentor, arranger, an incredible musician and all-round brilliant bloke.
